The Winona area has always been my home and I am humbled by how it has shaped my life.

I started school at St. Stans and then went to Cotter High School. After that it was on to Winona State University, where I earned my Associates Degree. Go Warriors!

Winona is where I met the love of my life, Michelle, and where we raised our family for 18 years. We lead busy and full lives but we still find time for snowmobiling in the winter and water sports in the summer.

The Winona area is also home to Winona Tour Boat and Rip-Roaring Entertainment, two successful small businesses Michelle and I own and run. I’m proud to say that Winona Tour Boat Company won the People’s Choice Award and the Tourism Rock Star Award during Visit Winona’s 2018 Tourism Celebration.

Being an entrepreneur, I wear many hats. I am a pilot for Treasure Island Casino’s Spirit of the Water and a pilot/tow operator for Riverview Towing. I’m also an ordained minister and have performed many weddings. And I serve Winona County as a part-time bailiff.

And now I am a Winona City Council Member at Large, where I work hard to make this an even better community. I don’t always agree with everyone but I set that aside to create the best solutions for the people who live here. In fact, I think that working together is the only way we can create excellence in our community and in our state.

It isn’t just about living and working in the Winona community–it’s also about giving back, as so many people have done before me. I’m a member of the Winona Civic Association, Winona Elks Lodge 327, and St. Stan’s Church. In the past, I have been a member of the Winona Fire Department, the Winona County Dive Rescue team, and the Fountain City Fire Department/First Responder team. I have also been a sports official for basketball, football, and softball, as well as a junior high basketball coach.
